Privacy Policy

TowerOlympus
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

This policy explains what information the TowerOlympus game ("the game") and the website towerolympus.app ("the site") handle, why, and the choices you have. The game and site are provided by [LEGAL NAME] ("we", "us").

Summary

  • The game stores your progress on your device. We do not run game servers and we do not receive your save data.
  • We do not track you. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not show ads, and we do not sell or share your data.
  • If the game crashes, it may send an anonymous crash report so we can fix the bug. It contains no name, email or account.
  • Game Center and in-app purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

1. Who we are

[LEGAL NAME]
[ADDRESS]
Email: [SUPPORT EMAIL]

We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy (the "data controller" under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and the "veri sorumlusu" under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, KVKK).

2. What the game handles

2.1 Game data on your device

Your progress, settings, unlocked items and player name are saved only on your device. We do not receive this data. If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, Apple or your computer may include the game's data in your device backup. Deleting the game deletes this data from your device.

2.2 Crash and diagnostic reports

When the game crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to our error-monitoring provider, Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.). A report contains:

  • technical details of the error (stack trace, error message, game version);
  • device model, iOS version, language setting, free memory and similar technical facts;
  • basic performance data (for example, load times).

Reports do not contain your name, email, Game Center identity or player name, and we do not link them to you. Your IP address is used to deliver the report but we have configured the service not to store it. Reports are stored in Sentry's [SENTRY DATA REGION] data region.

Why: to find and fix bugs and keep the game stable.
Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR / KVKK): our legitimate interest in providing a working game (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).

2.3 Game Center (Apple)

If you are signed in to Game Center, the game uses it for leaderboards and achievements. Your scores and achievements are sent to Apple, not to us. The game reads your Game Center display name and player identifier on your device only to show them in the game. Apple's handling of this data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings at any time; the game still works without it.

2.4 In-app purchases (Apple)

Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment card, Apple Account email or billing address. The game receives a transaction record from Apple on your device so it can unlock what you bought and restore it later. Refunds are handled by Apple.

2.5 What the game does not collect

No advertising identifier (IDFA), no ads, no third-party analytics, no location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone, no chat, no account or login with us.

3. Contacting support

If you email us at [SUPPORT EMAIL], we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach (for example, a screenshot). We use this only to answer you.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your request, or taking steps you asked for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) and (f)).

4. We do not track you

We do not link data from the game with data from other companies' apps or websites for advertising or advertising measurement, and we do not share data with data brokers. The game does not ask for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency) because it does not track. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in California law (CCPA/CPRA).

5. Who receives data

  • Sentry (crash reports), acting as our processor under a data processing agreement.
  • Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.) (hosts the site, see §8), acting as our processor.
  • Apple, for Game Center, purchases and app distribution, as an independent controller under its own policy.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.
  • A successor, if our business is transferred, under this same policy.

We do not sell personal data.

6. Children

TowerOlympus is a game for a general audience. We are designing it for a 9+ App Store age rating. It is not directed specifically at children, but we know children may play it.

The game does not ask for or collect names, email addresses, contact details or other information that identifies a child. The only data sent off the device is the anonymous crash report described in §2.2, which we use solely to keep the game working.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, for example by emailing support, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we will delete it.

7. How long we keep data

DataKept for
Game data on your deviceUntil you delete the game (or its backup)
Crash and diagnostic reportsUp to 90 days, then deleted automatically
Support emailsUp to 2 years after your conversation ends, then deleted
Site server logsUp to 30 days

We may keep data longer only if the law requires it.

8. The website

The site does not use cookies and does not use advertising or tracking tools. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.), processes your IP address and basic request data (page requested, time, browser type) in server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or KVKK requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • restrict or object to our use of it;
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • complain to a data protection authority.

EU / EEA: your local supervisory authority. UK: the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Turkey: under KVKK Article 11 you may apply to us first and then to the Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu, kvkk.gov.tr). California and other US states: you may request access or deletion; we will not treat you differently for doing so.

To use any of these rights, email [SUPPORT EMAIL]. We reply within one month (30 days for KVKK requests). Because crash reports are anonymous, we may not be able to find the reports that came from your device; we will tell you if so.

11. Deleting your data

  • Game data: delete the game from your device. This removes your progress permanently, unless it is in a device backup.
  • Game Center data: managed by Apple in iOS Settings > Game Center, or at privacy.apple.com.
  • Crash reports: deleted automatically (see §7).
  • Support emails: email [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we will delete them.

12. Security

We send crash reports over encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit who on our team can access them, and keep as little data as possible.

13. Changes to this policy

If we add features that handle more data, such as online accounts, cloud saves, multiplayer or ads, we will update this policy before the feature goes live, change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the game or in the App Store release notes. Previous versions are available on request.
